Evis Gjebrea – Trainer

Ms. Evis Gjebrea holds the position of Deputy Director General for Administrative Affairs at the Tirana Water and Sewerage Company (UKT) since March 2016. Prior to this position, Ms. Gjebrea worked at the Municipality of Tirana and was a member of the Supervisory Board of UKT SHA. She is responsible for overseeing the process of formulating and implementing financial and sales policies, as well as representing the company in third-party relations and with international partners/institutions.
Ms. Gjebrea has extensive professional experience, having worked for 8 years at the Ministry of Finance in the Directorate of External Debt and as a coordinator for World Bank projects. She has also served as a consultant for the World Bank in both Washington D.C. and Tirana. Over the years, Ms. Gjebrea has demonstrated professional expertise in the region, being involved in projects implemented in Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro.
Ms. Gjebrea has an academic and research background, holding a PhD in Economics with a focus on efficiency models in the water and sewage sector in Albania. She has 10 years of teaching experience, having been a full-time lecturer at the European University of Tirana for 7 years and a part-time lecturer at the New York University in Tirana. Ms. Gjebrea has also completed postgraduate studies, further enhancing her expertise in the field.
She also holds a one-year degree in Public Policy and Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. In addition, she has a master's degree in Banking and Finance for Development from the Giordano dell'Amore Foundation and Bocconi University in Milan, while her undergraduate studies were completed at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
